I am very excited to announce we will be having a Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day at Progressive field this year thanks to the hard work of the Cleveland Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network!

We are calling it Purple at Progressive!! Tickets are only $22 and a portion of that will go directly to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org).

As most of you know, this is an amazing organization and we are so excited to be able to do this event with them. Better yet, it's going to be a great game - Sunday August 26th at 1:00pm against the Yanks!! The Indians recently opened an awesome Kids Clubhouse play area, so definitely feel free to bring the little ones. You can watch the game from the play area (it's on the top level in a bunch of suites...they knocked the walls down and put all sorts of great kids stuff in there...check it out). There will be a ceremony just prior to the game, a parade around the bases for survivors and those touched by the disease, as well as a special first pitch by a pancreatic cancer survivor.
 
 
I look forward to seeing a sea of purple at the game...it's gonna be fun and hope you will join!

ALSO please don't forget to sign up for PurpleStride Cleveland, which will take place on June 16th at the Zoo! If you are unable to walk, please consider making a donation. Every dollar counts! My family is close to reaching the $50,000 mark with all of our walks around the country so far and I am hoping Cleveland will put us over that goal! If you have already signed up, thank you!
