Hall, Bores both played for SHS class of 2009

Two former Strongsville High School pitchers, both from the class of 2009, have been selected in the Major League Baseball draft.

Kris Hall, a junior at Lee University in Tennessee, was chosen in the eighth round by the Oakland Athletics.

And Ryan Bores, a standout junior pitcher at Kent State University, was picked in the 27th round by the Texas Rangers.

Hall, a 6’3” 215 pound right-hander, was last year ranked 80thamong the top 100 college players in the nation who are eligible for next year’s MLB draft, according to release published on www.leeuniversity.edu.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Bores played for Tri-C for two years before transferring to Kent. Last year, Bores allowed just seven earned runs all season while striking out 46 batters for Tri-C.
