4,000 Strongsville Homes without Power

Electricity to be restored by 10:15 a.m.

First Energy reports 4,322 customers in Strongsville were without power this morning.

Karen Kirsh, First Energy spokeswoman, said the outage was caused by a burnt-out disconnect at a switching station.

The first call came in at 7:40 a.m., she said.

Power came back on to about half the customers at 9:07 a.m. and the rest should have power by 10:15 a.m.

The outage included a section of western Strongsville and affected Foltz Industrial Park.
