7 Strongsville Kids will be Legislator for a Day

State Rep. Mike Dovilla to bring reading contest winners to Columbus

Seven Strongsville kids are winners in State Rep. Mike Dovilla's second "Legislator for a Day" reading program.

Winners will get a VIP tour of the Ohio Statehouse on April 10, including participating in a mock legislative hearing and lunch with Dovilla.

The Strongsville winners are:

Cecelia Ross – Strongsville Branch Library

Connor Mayor – Chapman Elementary School

Alex Neville – Drake Elementary School

Reanna Laurell – Muraski Elementary School

Anisha Kothari – Surrarrer Elementary School

Giovanni Mucurio – Whitney Elementary School

Tyler Ehrardt – Zellers Elementary School

Kids in grades one through six participated in the program by receiving a bookmark from their school librarian or visiting the Berea, North Royalton, Olmsted Falls or Strongsville branches of the Cuyahoga County Public Library.

After recording five books that they read on the back of the bookmark, it was entered in a drawing to become a “Legislator for a Day.”
