Why Go: Take part in the 14th Annual 5K/1Mile Race. The 1-mile race starts at 9 a.m. The 5K race starts at 9:20 a.m. Pre-register by callling 440-580-3260 or online

2. OPEN CALL FOR BACKGROUND EXTRAS FOR “BOOT TRACKS”
Where/When: Crocker Park next to Talbot’s, Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: Extras are needed for the Independent Feature Film shooting soon in Cleveland. “Boot Tracks” stars Matt Dillon and Michelle Monaghan. All types are needed 18 years and older only. Bring an ID and a non-returnable photo.

3. FIFTH ANNUAL EUCHRE TOURNAMENT
Where/When: Providence Church, Saturday, 6-10 p.m.
Why Go: Beat the winter blues with an exciting night of Euchre, great food and tons of prizes. The top 16 teams from the qualifying matches will proceed to the finals.
Pricing: $5 per person; $10 per team.
Where/When: Beck Center Main Theatre, Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Come see what happens when Jerry and his show end up in Satan’s world in this wickedly funny musical. WARNING: This production is not recommended for children and contains material that may offend some people.

Why Go: This dance is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade Strongsville residents. Tickets sold at the Strongsville Spirit Shop in the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, Wednesday and Thursday the week of the dance, 9:30 a.m.-1:20 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Pricing: $5 pre-sale, $10 at the door (if not sold out).
