A New Pizza Place for Strongsville

Papa John's is ready to open on Pearl Road

Papa John's pizza is coming to Strongsville early next year.

The pizza chain has nearly finished renovations at Pearl Road and Echo Drive, in the plaza with Skin Deep Mega Tan and Sweet Kiddles Flexible Childcare.

The franchise owner could not be reached for comment, but employees on the site said the restaurant will open Jan. 2.

It's Strongsville's only Papa John's. The company's website shows locations in Berea, Brunswick, Parma, Parma Heights and North Olmsted.

There are more than 3,500 Papa John's locations in all 50 states and 29 countries, the website says

The company prides itself on using fresh dough and high-quality ingredients.

Papa Johns was in Strongsville 10 years and didn't last after Tommy's opened. I give um a year and they will be gone. There pizza is junk.

I bought a Papa John's pizza from the Berea location 5 years ago. Worst pizza I ever had. Will never try them again even if its free. Tommy's is the best in town by a wide margin.

Not a Tommy's fan at all. Emilio's is far better. We'll go to Papa John's before Tommy's.

Husband and I are looking forward to Papa John's. We had loved their pizza in the past when we lived near one.
Contrary to the other posters, we've tried Tommy's and thought it was awful. So bad, I refuse to ever try it again. Everyone is different - so, looking forward to another choice.

Had Tommy's, didn't finish sandwich, was TERRIBLE, will NEVER go there again! Don't care for Papa John's either. Strongsville has bad restaurants/businesses, all weird yuppy stores. Sub sandwich places bad too, way to expensive and our Subway they don't put hardly any toppings on! We need a GOOD Chinese restaurant. And stores friendlier to our pockets!

We've tried them all! - and we consistently prefer to use the Brunswick Pappa John's - they deliver to the southside of Strongsville...will be even happier now that real pizza is in the city limits. WIN!

I live almost next door to Tommy's, and never order their pizza! The chicken is good but.... also I enjoy Papa John's in Brunswick and will gladly try our new store. If you are willing to pick up a pizza, Jets in Middleburg is by far the best around! As for subs in Strongsville Dibelle's is awesome. We have many things you may just need to try!

Papa John's is better than Tommy's. Tommy's has too much cheese not enough sauce and once ordered Tommy's chicken and opened the box only to find two ants crawling on the chicken. Yum! Service sucks as well! Overrated.
