Child Calls 911 to Offer a Hug

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police got a call Monday from a 4-year-old who dialed 911 to say she loved policemen and wanted to give one a hug.

When dispatchers asked where her mommy and daddy were, the girl said Mommy was at work and hung up.

Call-backs went to voice mail.

Police went to the Boston Road home to check on the child -- and give her some guidance on when to use 911.

They found she was home with her father and was fine.

Priscilla, the report didn't say! I wondered the same thing. I'll have to ask on Monday.
