Arts in Strongsville will host its annual Day at the Chalet on Sunday, Sept. 16, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Cleveland Metroparks Chalet.
The event features arts, crafts, music, kids' activities, food and entertainment, including the Cleveland TOPS Swing Band, the Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute, the Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble and more.
Highlights include: Paint on Canvas by Catan's, The Childrens Museum of Cleveland, Magic Beads, Posey Patch by Petitti Garden Center, Theatre Arts by Legacy in Education, Squawking Crow Native Indian Storyteller, Roger Dodger Balloons, Katie B Puppets, face painting, tattoos, Young Chefs Academy, Cleveland Ballet Conservatory Studio, Martial Arts by Jeff Ellis' International Karate Centers, Kidz Craft Corner.
Featured entertainment: The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute performed by international artist Terry Lee Goffee; Cleveland TOPS Swing Band; The Magic of Rick Smith Jr.; Hungarian Scout Folk Ensemble; Strongsville High School Chamber Strings; Strongsville Heart Beats Jump Rope Team; Steel Drum Music by Island Jeff.
FREE ADMISSION -- But a donation of a canned good for the Strongsville Food Bank would be appreciated.
FREE PARKING -- Parking is free onsite, but tends to get crowded. You also can park for free at the RTA Park N Ride at the Turnpike and Pearl Road and ride the FREE SHUTTLE to the Chalet.
NO POLITICS -- A Day at the Chalet is an event for families, not for politics. Poltical T-shirts, campaign buttons, literature, etc. will not be permitted on site.
