Easy to Find Girl Scout Cookies Despite Boycott
Some local troops aren't selling, but they're still available in many locations
It's still easy to buy Girl Scout cookies in Strongville this year, even though some troops are boycotting the sale, according to Reuters and other sources.
There are a number of places in town where the cookies are being sold in February and early March, according to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio website.
Those places include Westfield SouthPark every day, and -- on selected days -- Giant Eagle, Walmart, Rego's, Heinen's, Big Lots and the Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center.
In Strongsville, an estimated 30 percent of Girl Scouts are boycotting cookie sales or downsizing their sales to protest the organization's decision to close local Girl Scout camps.

It is absolutely dreadful that the focus is being taken off the camping for these young girls. When I was a Girl Scout, I looked forward to the camping which was not only incredibly fun, but I learned so much about the outdoors, responsibility, and the campfires were always the best for talking and making friends. I hope somehow that the Powers to Be will reverse their decision to sell off the Girl Scout campgrounds.
