FBI Seeks Help Identifying Rape Suspect

Crimes took place 13 years apart; $10,000 reward offered

The FBI in Cleveland and the Cleveland Police Department are asking the public to help identify an unknown man wanted in connection with multiple rapes and a homicide in Cleveland.

The first attack took place on May 3, 1996. The female victim was abducted, raped, shot and left for dead, according to an FBI news release. The victim survived her wounds.

Then, on February 2, 1997, the body of a woman was discovered under a parked truck in a secluded lot. The victim had sustained severe head trauma.

On June 18, 1998, another attack occurred as a victim walked home from a friend’s house.

Thirteen years later, on Dec. 8, 2010, a female victim was approached at a bus stop by the same unknown suspect, who asked for the time. The man then raped the woman at gunpoint.

Police have linked the attacks, which all occurred within the same half-mile radius.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for these crimes.

If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or 1-800-CALL-FBI. You can also contact the Cleveland Police Department at 216-623-5630.
