Dog Paddle and Pet-a-looza is Aug. 26 in Hinckley
Take a dip with your dog at Cleveland Metroparks annual Dog Paddle & Pet-a-Palooza Aug. 26 at the Ledge Pool and Recreation Area in Hinckley Reservation.
Owners can bring their non-aggressive dogs to cool off with a dip in Ledge Pool from 1-5 p.m. for a nominal donation ($5/per dog), with proceeds benefiting the Medina County SPCA.
A Dog Fair will also be held on the grounds, with exhibitors and vendors with items to purchase items for pampering pooches. Or enjoy a naturalist-led hike just for dogs and their owners.
Demonstrations already lined up include B.A.R.K (Buckeye Area Regional K-9) - on-hand with animal safety demonstrations, and Buckeye Dock Docks - with dogs going aerial and plunging into the lake.
Dogs and their humans can also enjoy snacks and refreshments for sale.
Ledge Pool & Recreation Area is at 1151 Ledge Rd., between State and Kellogg roads in Hinckley Reservation in Hinckley Township.
