Fish Fry Season is Here

Here are some nearby places offering Lenten meals on Fridays

 

Lent is here, which translates to tasty Friday fish fries throughout northeast Ohio.

Here are a few in Strongsville and neighboring communities.

• St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 16271 Pearl Rd., Strongsville. Fish fry schedule is March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; 5-8 p.m. Guests 65 and older get $1 off their meal. Takeout is available. 

• VFW Post 3345, 17900 Strongsville Blvd., Strongsville -- Fish fries are year-round, with extended hours 4-8 p.m. during Lent.

• St. Albert the Great Church, 6667 Wallings Rd., North Royalton -- Every Friday during Lent except Good Friday; 4:30-7 p.m. Cost is $7.50, with earlybird specials 4-5 p.m. for $6.50. Takeout is available.

• St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W. 130th St., Brunswick -- Every Friday during Lent except Good Friday; 4:30-7 p.m.; menu varies each week.

• Brunswick United Methodist Church, 1395 Pearl Rd., Brunswick -- Every Friday in Lent, 5-7 p.m.

 St. Ambrose, 929 Pearl Rd., Brunswick -- Every Friday during Lent, 4:30-7 p.m.

• St. Adalbert Church, 66 Adalbert St., Berea -- Fridays from Feb. 24 through March 30; 4:30-7:30 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $5 for kids 5-12.

• West Side Irish-American Club, 8559 Jennings Rd., Olmsted Township -- Every Friday through April 6; buffet style; 5-7:30 p.m.

It's amazing to me how places to worship God turn into profit driven restaurants during the 40 days leading up to Easter.......

The profit is going to the homeless. There is no profit for the church. If you would attend there you would know this.

Wow. Dont go then. Some people look forward to the inexpensive GOOD meals while supporting the institution that depends upon our generosity.

The meals are the greatest and very affordable. I enjoy going for the socializing and fellowship with members
