Hobby Show Coming to I-X Center

Event will run Oct. 13 and 14

 

 

The world's largest hobby show for model products, called iHobby Expo, will be at the I-X Center with activities, displays and world class competitions Oct. 13-14.

At the show, you and your kids can fly an R/C plane or helicopter, build a model, run a model train, race a slot car, ride a miniature train and drive an R/C car.

Also, there will be three national competitions being held at iHobby Expo this year featuring robot fighting, monster truck racing, and helicopter stunts.

The High Voltage R/C Monster Truck Championships will take place both Saturday and Sunday.

In Mecha-Mayhem 2012, top robotics competitors from around the world will face off.

And the World Micro Heli Cup and Indoor Aircraft Cup Competition will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with some of the industry's best pilots taking advantage of the I-X Centers high ceilings to compete for prize money.

More than 400 booths and 150 companies at the show will offer the latest in the hobby world.

More tha 20,000 people are expected to visit the two-day show. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Admission for adults is $12, with children under 10 admitted free and seniors over 65 admitted for $10. For more information, visit GiantShow.com.
