K-9 Unit Sends Dogs to Find Lost Drunkard: Police Blotter

The following was obtained from Strongsville police reports dated Feb. 24. It does not indicate convictions.

Suspicious drunkard

A man walking around yards at 10:30 p.m. caused concern among residents on two streets on Feb. 24, according to a Strongsville police report.

An Applewood Lane resident called police about a man walking around the common area.

About five minutes later, someone on Abigail Lane reported a man wearing a baseball cap in the back yard, just staring at the house.

Officers called in a police dog and found the man on Winding Trail. The man was intoxicated and got turned around, a report stated.

He was cited for disorderly conduct.

Hands off the pickup

A Barbara Drive man told police he stopped in the street to text his girlfriend about 1:20 a.m. Feb. 24 when a neighbor ran out and hit the side of his truck.

The neighbor admitted to slapping the truck, and complained about vehicles stopping in front of his house in the middle of the night.

There was no damage to the truck.

Really, issue a citation for WALKING around drunk? We do strange things while intoxicated; I once woke up next to a woman laying on my arm and had to chew it off so not to wake her. At least I wasn't driving though.
