Luxury Subdivision Starting to Take Shape

Road is going in off Prospect to serve Cedar Creek

Crews have started work on a new street off Prospect Road to serve a luxury subdivision.

Developer Ed Lechler said he hopes the pavement will be poured within the next few weeks, allowing construction to begin on homes around the end of October.

"It's going very well," Lechler said. "The road should be in in a couple of weeks."

The subdivsion, which will be just north of Breckenridge Lane, will feature 12 large lots with upscale homes.

Plans show lots of 3/4 to 1.5 acres. Lechler has said the subdivision will "fill a void" in Strongsville with its private, wooded lots and luxury houses, including some estate homes.

Owners will bring their own builders to the site to design one-of-a-kind homes. Lechler said homeowners will be able to decide which trees remain on their rear lots.

Lechler, who owns Rock Bottom Landscaping on Prospect Road, could not give an exact number of lots sold so far, but said "we have several people very interested."

In fact, he said some are very anxious to get into their new homes.

"A couple of people have said they'd like to start building by November," he said.
