Man Goes to the Bathroom, Loses His Old Pal and His X Box: Police Blotter
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
A Whitney Road man called police about noon Jan. 8 to report his old friend Darryl had just stolen his X Box video game system.
The man said his buddy, who he thought had moved to Florida, came over about 11 a.m. and they played an X Box game for about 20 minutes.
The resident left the room to go to the bathroom. When he came out, both Darryl and his X Box were gone.
He wasn't able to give police Darryl's last name or his address.
Woman Finds Car in Her Driveway
An Overland Park woman told police someone parked a white Chrysler in her driveway the morning of Jan. 1.
She was able to get out around it, but had no idea who it belonged to.
Police called the owner, who said her 17-year-old son had gotten permission from his friend, who lives there, to park in the driveway.
The youth called from school to say he was pretty sure he had the right address, but would move the car as soon as school was out.
Someone reported hearing a child crying "Help Daddy" somewhere on Burgandy Drive about 1:50 a.m. Jan. 7.
A report of a noisy stereo took police to Bradford Court about 2 a.m. Jan. 7.
Officers could hear a loud bass from a stereo or TV, but no one would answer the door or the phone.
Police could see a figure walking around in the house. At one point, the person came up to the window and and officer shone a light at him or her, but the person walked away.
