Man Ignores Wake-Up Call, Winds Up in Jail
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
An alleged drunken driver picked an unusual spot to sleep it off -- the corner of Prospect and Boston roads.
A man called police about 9 p.m. Jan. 20 to say he came across the snoozing man and knocked on his window to wake him.
The driver made an obscene gesture and went back to sleep, a report said.
The man, who lives in Lakewood, was still there when police arrived, but was soon in jail facing a string of charges, including operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, stopping on the road, open container and not wearing a seatbelt.
