Neighbor Moved Log 2 Inches, Woman Complains: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Strongsville Boulevard woman showed police Jan. 15 that a log in her yard had been moved 2 inches, a report said.

The woman said the complaint is part of an ongoing property line dispute with her neighbor.

She told police she believes her neighbor is trying to encroach on her property.

Odd Questions

A Knowlton Parkway resident asked police for advice about an incident that took place back on Dec. 21 when three men identifying themselves as investigators asked some strange questions.

Police identified one of the men as a bounty hunter, who said a man they are seeking has connections with people in that apartment building.

Where There's Smoke There's Laundry

A passerby on Prospect Road reported seeing a house with what she believed was smoke coming from the garage Jan. 17.

Police checked the area, but could only find a house where steam was coming from a dryer vent.

Burglary

A Wii game system was reported stolen from a house on Gate Post Road.

The report came in about 8 p.m. Jan. 17.

Suspicious Person

Residents on Brushwood Lane saw a man with a flashlight walking around a neighbor's house about 6:15 p.m. Jan. 17.

Police said the man was gone when they arrived. There were no signs of forced entry to the home.

Well, yet more proof that they're not all locked up. If my neighbor wants two inches of my property then as long as he cuts the grass there he can have it.

I moved into a house and the property looked off to me so i had it surveyed. You would think it was the end of the world. My neighbors said i accused them of stealing their property when i had it surveyed.

It turned out that i had 10 more feet on one side and 16 more feet on the other.
One side had bushes and there was no problem going forward because i put a fence on the stake marks from he survey. (split rail..nothing ugly) After i put my fence up they parked a car in their backyard right next to the fence and threw some scrap metal and a few other things on the property line in the front yard. (nasty people!)

The other neighbor had a fence and admitted the property line was moved over the years. He got his own survey and wanted me to pay for it before he moved his fence. Being the new person and wanting to get along i paid for the survey he had plus the one i did. I also moved his shed for him. I put my fence up and we were good neighbors.

Come to find out the nasty neighbors weren`t liked by anyone at all.

Basically it is cheaper to investigate the street you move to before buying the house. We have since moved and checked out the area and have a great street and great neighbors.

People are not very good at handling adversity when they find out they may be wrong...The actions that they put forward are in defense of their inaction to do the right thing.........
