New Homes to be Built in Westwood Farms

Final phase of development is approved

 

Strongsville's Planning Commission has approved a 15-lot subdivision within Westwood Farms.

The development is the second and final phase of Andrus Woods and will include 15 single-family homes on Saddlewood Lane.

It will be the 17th phase of the sprawling neighborhood.

"This is the last phase of Westwood Farms," Strongsville Planning Secretary Carol Oprea said.

Andrus Woods was proposed as Phase 16 of Westwood Farms in 2008, but was stalled by a sluggish economy. 

The first phase of the development was resubmitted in late 2011 and included 20 single-family homes. 

Oprea said the developers are now ready to start work on the final phase.
