Joe Crea in The Plain Dealer reports that Dante Boccuzzi and his buisness partner Carmela DelBusso will open a new restaurant in the former Palate site, 12214 Pearl Rd.
Boccuzzi owns the well-known Dante restaurant and the new Ginko.
The new eatery, called D.C. Pasta Company, will feature authentic, homemade Italian fare and will be aimed at families.
It will also sell pastas and sauces from a retail section in the front of the store.
Palate closed in June, shortly after Chef Jeff Jarrett left. It had been open about five months.
D.C. Pasta Company is expected to open in November.
