News of the Week: Fracking Comes to Town; New Restaurant Opens

Here's what went on in Strongsville over the last few days

 

Some of the headlines from Strongsville this week:

Fracking ahead -- A company expects to use the controversial "hydraulic fracturing" method on two gas/oil wells being drilled on Albion and Webster roads.

Pearl Road beautification plan quashed -- A plan by two councilmen to eliminate the "hodge podge" look of development on Route 42 comes under fire.

New restaurant -- The Barking Bullfrog, a family friendly sports bar, opens on West 130th Street.

School district's $145 million plan -- A closer look at the two-phased plan to build a new middle school and renovate other buildings. Also, the district expects to pick a site for the middle school soon.

Couple sought in theft -- Police ask for help identifying an older couple who pocketed money at Wendy's.

if america was allowed to drill for oil off the coast and in alaska, these companies would not have to be on our streets
