Ronald A. Schaffran, 68, of Strongsville, former certified public accountant, Marine Corps veteran, died July 1.

He is survived by his wife, Martha (nee Gierlach); children, Brian, David, Daniel and Matthew; three grandchildren; and siblings, Sr. Janet, Nanci Nimrichter and Bill.

Calling hours were at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd.

Memorial Mass was celebrated July 6 at St. John Neumann Cathohlic Church, 16271 Pearl Rd.

Edward A. Gulis, 86, of Strongsville, a World War II Navy veteran, died July 3.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; children, Gail Knippenberg, Linda Vagi and Bonnie Rohal; and three grandchildren.

Services were July 6 at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd.
