Oprah Features Strongsville Grad -- and His Strongsville Patch Story
Adam Pervez is 'One-Click Inspiration'
A Strongsville man -- and his story on Strongsville Patch -- are being featured on Oprah Winfrey's website.
Adam Pervez, whose story was told here last month in "SHS Grad is Now a 'Happy Nomad' on a Mission," is being recognized by the queen of daytime talk as an "Instant One-Click Inspiration" for his decision to leave a six-figure job and travel the world to help less fortunate people.
Oprah calls him a "Life Lifter."
Pervez, 29, decided last year to take The Happiness Plunge, a two-year journey he calls the Happy Nomad Tour that will take him to six continents to learn, teach and help.
He stays in rural villages in developing countries, learning the various ways of life and telling the stories of the people and places -- while volunteering with organizations along the way.
His goal: To leave each place a litte better off than when he arrived.
Huffington Post chose to make Pervez its Greatest Person of the Day on March 13.
And now Oprah has chosen the 2000 Strongsville High School grad as one of her inspirations. She links to his story on her Life Lift blog.
