Patton Chosen Senate Majority Floor Leader
Strongsville senator re-elected to post in Columbus
State Senator Tom Patton (R–Strongsville) was unanimously re-elected as the Senate Majority Floor Leader for the 130th General Assembly, a post he has held since September 2011.
“I am honored to have received my colleagues renewed support in selecting me as Senate Majority Floor Leader for the second time,” said Patton. “The Senate has made great progress over the past two years in streamlining state government, cutting red tape, and creating an environment that encourages investment and growth.”
Patton has served in the Ohio Senate since 2008 and served six years in the Ohio House of Representatives before that.
He is chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Highways and Transportation.
Patton will be sworn in as Majority Floor Leader Jan. 7 when the 130th General Assembly begins.

Congratulations Tom. Since you're the chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Highways and Transportation, can you help get a Boston Road exit/entrance ramp on I71? This would relieve the congestion from Brunswick motorists using the Royalton Road ramp. There's been talk of a ramp on Boston Road for some time now.
