Swim Strong of Strongsville presented a check to the Seidman Cancer Center for more than $19,000 during its meet with Brecksville Nov. 28.

The money was raised during the team's Nov. 3-4 Splash Out Cancer USA Swim Meet held at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center.

At the meet, the team hosted 696  swimmers from USA swim clubs from northeast Ohio. The swimmers and families sold crafts, baked goods and T-shirts along with a silent auction for baskets donated by swim families.

The meet is the team's only home meet during the USA Indoor swim season.

Swim Strong has 257 active swimmers in two locations -- Strongsville and Berea.
