Alarm Going Off 4 Days

A car alarm sent police to a Whitney Road apartment several times over the last few day after neighbors complained it went off every hour.

The owner, contacted by police on Nov. 4, shut the alarm off, but residents complained at 5:45 a.m. Nov. 5 that it was sounding again.

More neighbors called about 6:40 a.m. to report the disturbance.

The alarm was off when officers arrived, but they warned the owner that if it sounds again, she would be cited -- and cited again every time it goes off in the future.

She said she would contact her mechanic.

Woman Followed

A woman told police about 12:45 p.m. Nov. 5 that a man had been following her since she left her house in Olmsted Falls.

She said he was on her street when she left that day, turning around in a neighbor's driveway to follow her as she drove to Strongsville.

The man, who lives in Olmsted Falls, said he was going to Great Northern Mall, but changed his mind and decided to go to Costco in Strongsville.

When he got there, he decided not to go in, and was heading back home when police stopped him.

The woman said she knew he was tailing her when she made a quick left turn onto Fallingwater and the man did the same, even though he was in the curb lane.

She did not think he was a threat.

Dispute Gets Ugly

A neighbor dispute about some dogs' potty habits got out of hand on Sunwood Oval Nov. 5, with a resident saying her neighbor screamed at her kids, left notes on the door and smeared dog feces on the front porch.

The neighbor said the woman's dogs do their business right next to her yard and no one picks it up, which is a violation of the homeowners' association rules.

Police told her to notify the association about it and to call the police department if there are any incidents with her neighbor.
