Police Blotter: Creepy Peeper Whispers in Couple's Window; $1,300 Worth of Underwear Stolen
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
A Westwood Park couple was sitting in their den about 11:20 p.m. June 23 when they heard someone whisper "I see you" from outside their open window.
They looked outside, but couldn't see anyone.
Police checked the area and spoke with several people who were out enjoying the nice weather, but no one saw anything suspicious.
A report said the underwear, valued at $1,362, disappeared between 3 and 3:30 p.m.
There are no suspects.
A woman shopping at Costco June 24 said the man in line behind her made her nervous and then stared at her.
A report said the man looked at the items the woman was buying "and more or less invited himself over for a party."
When the woman left, the man was in the parking lot and stared at her.
Then, when the woman went back in to the tire section, he drove past her.
Officers spoke with the man, who said he was just making small talk and his comments were misconstrued. He apologized and said he did not mean any harm, the report said.
Oh Deer, False Alarm
Police respond to false burglar alarms every day, but not for this reason.
On June 24, an alarm went off on Pinewood Drive. The resident told police she opened the door to shoo a deer off her patio and forgot the alarm was on.
Theft from Car -- in Garage
A GPS and phone chargers were reported stolen from a car in a Deer Path Drive garage June 24.
The car was unlocked and in an open garage.
Not Much of a Party
An anonymous caller complained about a wild party on Dell Drive about 12:50 a.m. June 24, with people wandering around and playing loud music.
When police arrived, they couldn't find anyone in the area or hear any music.
They went to the Dell Drive house, where the resident said he had been playing music with the window open. He agreed to close the window.
