Police Blotter: Jehovah's Witnesses Want Woman Back

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Sprague Road woman told police Oct. 26 that she is a former Jehovah's Witness and the group has been calling her.

She did not report the incidents until someone from the group said he has been watching her and her house for two weeks.

Police determined who the calls were coming from. They said they would call the man and tell him to stop bothering her.

A woman told police she was shopping in Oct. 24 when a man who said he worked there grabbed her and then put his arms around her.

He followed her into , where he claimed to work as a security officer, and into .

A report said he followed her for about 45 minutes and put his arms around her several times.

He was described as black, with a shaved head. He talked with a lisp, the report said.

Leaving a Mark

Someone wrote in freshly poured cement on Woodleaf Road Oct. 26.

Police are following up on a lead.

Window Targeted

A vandal shot a BB gun at a Walnut Creek Drive window Oct. 25.

The glass was shot at 5:50 p.m.

Suspicious Situation

A 14-year-old girl told her mother a man pulled up and asked her if she wanted a ride Oct. 26 as she and a friend walked on Howe Road.

The man didn't try to entice them into the car, a report said.

Police contacted the man anyway, who said he saw a girl who looked like his niece, who often walks in that area. He stopped to offer her a ride, but when he saw it wasn't her, he left.
