The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
Suspicious noises brought police to two homes Saturday.
A man on Waterfall Road called about 5:15 a.m. to say it sounded like someone was digging outside his house.
Officers found no indication anyone was outside.
About 11 p.m., an Albion Road woman reported that she was in the basement with her boyfriend, and they could hear drawers being opened upstairs.
Police walked through the house and yard and found nothing suspicious.
A Day of Music and Parties
Police were called out at least four times on Saturday to quiet down loud people.
About 6:45 p.m., someone reported a man blasting music from his stereo on Whitney Road. Police found he was actually playing a guitar, and was violating the noise ordinance.
He said he'd stop.
About 9:30 p.m., officers asked a homeowner on Steeplechase Lane to tune down the DJ music at his party. He agreed to comply.
A few minutes later, police were called to a 70th birthday party on Pearl Road that was "extremely loud" when they arrived.
There had also been fireworks, a report said. Police warned the homeowner that if they had to return, he would be cited.
And on Shale Brook Way, loud talking and music were reported about 11:50 p.m. Officers found a birthday party under way and warned the residents to keep it down.
