Police Blotter: Mischief on 3 Streets; Car Left Running All Day
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
Kids pulled pranks with traffic cones on Williamsburg Oval and Windward Way the night of July 31.
A witness saw some teens put three orange cones on Williamsburg Oval, blocking the street, about 11:30 p.m., then get into a car and take off.
Police returned the cones to Fairfax, where they belonged.
About an hour later, orange cones and a large rock were found at the intersection of Windward Way and Blue Point Drive. An officer moved the cones and rock.
And on Badger Den Lane, a resident complained about 11:50 p.m. Aug. 2 that for the third night, someone has knocked at her door and run.
Someone reported about 9 p.m. July 30 that a car outside the Royalton Greens apartments was running -- and had been all day.
Police found the owner's apartment and knocked, but she did not answer.
So officers performed a lockout on the vehicle, shut it off, then locked it and took the keys back to the police station.
They were returned the next day to the owner, who was fine.
