Police Blotter: Peeping Tom; Man Says He Wants to Shoot Kids

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Lenox Drive resident saw someone peering in his window about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 28.

The man said he saw a shadow and eyes in his window. He thinks it was a man.

Police checked the area but couldn't find anyone.

Inducing Panic

Employees at the Cleveland Clinic at SouthPark Mall called police Sept. 19 to report that a 50-year-old man had come in and said he wanted to go to a school and kill children.

Police took the man to Southwest General Health Center for an evaluation and contacted Brunswick police for a follow-up.

Strange Behavior

A man staying at the LaSiesta Motel on Pearl Road became "increasingly stranger" last week, a report said, prompting employees to call police.

On Sept. 18, the man was outside naked, and on Sept. 19, was yelling obscenities at imaginary people, the report said.

Police discovered he had a warrant for failure to appear on a theft charge in Parma and delivered the man to that department.

Bad Behavior

A dad and three kids riding their bikes on Whitney Road displayed some rude behavior Sept. 17, according to a report.

A resident said she saw one of the kids ram his bike into her trash can, denting it. The adult encouraged the child, she said, and the boy crashed into it a second time.

The woman was upset her new trash can was damaged, but more upset about the man's lack of responsibility.

Smoking Hookah?

A man walking his dog on Winchester Court Sept. 17 said he saw about five kids near the creek smoking a hookah.

Police couldn't find any kids in the area.
