Police Blotter: Residents Lose an iPad, DVDs, Wedding Ring to Thieves; Driver Hits Pedestrian and Flees
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
A woman who set her wedding ring on table at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center Friday went back to find it gone.
A report said the ring was on a picnic table between 11 and 11:25 a.m.
It has a total weight of 3 carats, a report said.
Theft from Vehicle
A Prospect Road woman told police someone stole DVDs and a GPS from her car July 26.
She said the thefts might have taken place at Walmart or overnight at her home.
An iPad was stolen from a car parked at the recreation fields at Foltz Industrial Park.
The owner, who reported the theft July 28, said the car was locked.
A man walking on Fallingwater Road told police he was hit by a black, two-door Chevy Cavalier about 10 p.m. July 27.
A report said the driver, a man who appeared to be about 35, went south on Pearl Road.
The walker was not injured.
Oh, Just Get In
The manager at B Spot called police about 2 p.m. July 27 to say he had taken the keys of an intoxicated woman after she threw up in the restaurant.
She left and went to Fridays, where management also refused to serve her, a report said.
Police took the woman, who lives in Brunswick, to the station to call a cab. However, the cab company would not take a credit or debit card.
A report said the matter was "becoming quite an issue," so an officer just drove her home.
