Police Blotter: Throwing Kittens Out Car Window; Other Animal Incidents
The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department
A woman went to St. Francis Animal Hospital, 8600 Pearl Rd., with a kitten about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27 and said someone in a dark-colored car had thrown it -- and other kittens -- out the window.
The 12-week-old kitty taken to the vet did not live, a report said.
Officers checked the area near Gas & Food, where the incident reportedly took place, but found no other cats.
Pony on the Road
A horse escaped from its fence and took a run on Albion Road about 5 p.m. Aug. 28.
The owner and some helpers were able to round it up and take it back to safety.
Motorcycle Vs. Deer
A man was thrown from his motorcycle about 8 p.m. Aug. 28 when he hit a deer on Progress Drive, a report said.
The man scraped his leg, but was otherwise not injured. The deer was killed.
No Excuses
A man stopped for expired license plates on Albion Road at Gate Post Aug. 28 offered up an excuse -- they'd had a temporary tag on the car, but it blew off.
The officer ran the registration and found there had, in fact, been a temporary tag issued -- but it expired in July.
The driver got two citations.
More Gunfire Reported
A West 130th Street resident reported hearing two shots from a high-powered rifle about 11 p.m. Aug. 28.
Police checked the area, but couldn't find anything suspicious.

the gunfire was probably from the motorcycle rider that got hit by the deer seeking some revenge
