Police Investigating Armed Robbery at Apartment
Woman loses purse to gun-wielding assasilants
Police are investigating an armed robbery outside the Cherry Tree Apartments May 14 in which two attackers stole a woman's purse.
Detective Lt. John Janowski said the victim was getting home from work about 10:30 p.m. when she was approached by a man wearing jeans and a hoodie with the hood up.
As he pointed a gun at her, another man came up behind her and grabbed her purse. Both then fled.
Janowski said the woman, who owns a gas station, was carrying the day's receipts in her purse. Police aren't sure if the robbers knew that or if it was a random act.
"We have nothing to indicate they knew, but that's the angle we're going to have to work," Janowski said.
The victim said she believes the robber with the gun was a white man.

recently the rockefeller estate neighborhood has had home robberies. A Ipod from a car in the afternoon when occupant went inside for 15 minutes and 2 weeks later a bike hanging on a wall from an open garage while all homeowners were inside after being outside all afternoon.
