Police Seek Help Identifying Couple That Took Money
Incident took place Monday at Strongsville fast-food restaurant

Police are trying to identify a man and woman who apparently took money from the counter at Wendy's, 14944 Pearl Rd., Monday evening.
Detective Steve Borowske said the theft left the elderly victim unable to pay for her medication.
Here's what happened: The victim ordered food about 6:10 p.m. and placed her keys and money on the counter while paying.
She inadvertently walked away without the money.
About a minute later, a man and woman walked up to the counter. Surveillance video shows the man taking the money and putting it in his pocket.
When the victim realized she didn't have her money, she went back to the counter to look for it, then asked the handful of customers in the restaurant if they had seen it.
No one responded. The woman then spent several minutes looking for the cash in the garbage cans.
The money was for the woman's medication, Borowske said.
He said the victim is hoping her money will be returned. She promised no questions would be asked and said she would not seek prosecution if the correct amount of money is returned.
Anyone with information about the couple is asked to call Borowske at 440-580-3230.

Give the money back!
Just because you're old, doesn't give you the right to do something like that.
She looks familiar - I think I've seen her around Strongsville.
I''m glad their faces are on here. If a young couple had done this, people would not make excuses. But, I can hear some of you out there now.
They should know better.

what I find just as bad is those 2 customers are standing in an empty line for over 2 minutes (6:11 to 6:13) with not any employees waiting on them ...fast food rules do not apply at wendys

tom m, check the facts before writing.FACTS: First the customer takes a bundle of money and change out pocket and puts it on the counter, pays and leaves the money. Second customer watches, money is still on counter[BINGO] they come forward and order, after paying he drops something on floor, picks it up and sets it next to bundle of money lying on counter, picks up everithing and now they think theyhit the jackpot. Wendys employees newer left betwen first and second customer. When customers were asked if anyone found any money, they totally ignored the inquiry. You OWE a big apology to wendys company & employees, they woork hard for thier money and dont steal. It took so long to wait on this couple because this couple was trying to take this money without being seen, at least the male was. VMP. P.S. How can you compare a few minutes to someone stealing money?

The screen on the register changes so an employee could be out of sight of the camera. I really hope they do the right thing, I also hope this picture gets out everywhere and they are TOTALLY embarrassed!

Mr Murphy, I find it strange that you take time to criticize the victim and in so doing you seem to accept that is all right to steal money just because someone was careless for a minute. Just like Mr Tom M who wants to blame the employees because he thought they were to slow or not around. Stealing is a sin and crime regardless of the circumstances. The police sure think so, they are working the case and they didn't share your critical remarks. Maybe it is time to use your energy in a positive way and show a little sensitivity to the victim. Phillip at no time does james say it is ok to steal money all he said was "thats why they invented CHECKS" so quit sticking up for your friends by blaming others
