Police Still Pursuing Leads on Men Who Tried to Lure Girl

Tips have come in regarding incident at school bus stop

Police are pursuing possible leads on an incident Jan. 9 in which two men in a black car asked an 11-year-old girl if she wanted a ride as she waited for her school bus.

Police said several people have called with sightings of a black car.

"We're following them all up," Detective Lt. John Janowski said. "We've been getting some tips about black cars seen around town."

So far, police have no suspects in the incident, which took place about 9 a.m. at the corner of Lunn Road and Walnut Creek Drive.

The girl told police two adult men pulled up in the car and asked if she wanted a ride. When she said no, they left.

Just before they pulled away, they said, "OK, we're police officers," Janowski said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Strongsville police at 440-238-7373.

Someone had to see something. I coach my 12 year old son how to deploy his iPod touch quickly to capture video of anything he wants. These teenagers all have smart phones with cameras. Parents can show them how to use them quickly so we can catch these losers before something serious happens.
