Poll: Do You Feel Safe in Strongsville?

Do you worry about crime in your neighborhood?

In Cleveland Magazine's recent "Rating the Suburbs" issue, Strongsville ranked 29th of 77 communities in safety.

The city has very little violent crime, according to Police Department statistics: no homicides in 2011, 14 robberies (often, shoplifting offenses become robberies when suspects resist) and 76 assaults.

It does have its share of thefts (more than 1,000 last year, including 512 shoplifting arrests) and vandalism (more than 500 reports of property damage).

Still, judging by the number of people who leave their cars unlocked at night, it seems lots of residents don't worry much about crime.

So how safe do you feel in Strongsville? Do you feel comfortable leaving the mall after dark? How about walking in your neighborhood?

Do you worry about burglary when you're away? Have you been targeted by vandals?
