First Energy is installing $1,857,000 worth of new cable in Strongsville's subdivisions in response to complaints about frequent power outages, Mayor Tom Perciak said.
Perciak said Tuesday that work is under way in neighborhoods in the southeast part of the city.
"We've been able to communicate all these (outage) issues to First Energy," he said.
The mayor said the streets being addressed include Pinewood Drive, North and South Red Rock, Walkingstick Way, Stoneridge Trail, Tradewinds Drive, Hunters Pointe Drive, Timberline Drive, Goldrush Drive, Winchester Court, Compass Point Drive, Hunt Road, Hearthstone Drive, Maple Circle and Bent Tree Drive.
