Sports Still on Hold at Schools, But 5 Athletes Make State Track Event

Strongsville High School students qualify for indoor meet Saturday

 

 

Five Strongsville High School track team members have qualified for the state indoor track meet at The University of Akron on Saturday, March 16:

Dustin Stout, 12th grade, 60m hurdles

Richard Floyd, 10th grade, 60m hurdles

Matt Stephano, 12th grade, pole vault

Cassie Martin, 9th grade, high jump

Megan Sievers, 9th grade, long jump

Athletics is still on hold at Strongsville High School as the teachers' strike ends its second week. Practices have been canceled and school facilities are closed after classes.

Mayor Tom Perciak has offered the student athletes use of the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center for workouts, free of charge.

Sports should NEVER BE STOPPED BECAUSE OF POLITICS .....END UNION INVOLVEMENT IN HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS !!!!!!!!!
