Strongsville Baseball Fields Get Big Donation
Volunteer Park diamonds will get fencing, dugout roofs
Strongsville Travel Baseball will donate $30,672 worth of material and labor to the city to improve the fields at Volunteer Park.
City Council accepted the donation from the league and Carl Hoerig this week.
Mayor Tom Perciak called Hoerig "a remarkable human being" who has championed Strongsville's baseball programs for more than a decade.
The donation will go for fencing and dugout roofs at the baseball fields at Volunteer Park.
