Strongsville Community Theatre Announces New Season
Shows include a romantic comedy, music and Shakespeare
Strongsville Community Theatre has announced its 2102-2013 season:
Looking -- A romantic comedy, Looking involves four lovable losers seeking love in all the wrong places. A fabulously funny script from Norm Foster, Canada's most popular playwright. Play dates are Sept. 28, 29, 30 and Oct. 5, 6, 7.
1940's Radio Christmas Carol -- This show is fun laced with swing music and wacky comedy. It's "live radio" production of A Christmas Carol, but circumstances end up changing Dickens' classic into an absurdist film noir mystery. Play dates are Nov. 30, Dec. 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9.
A Midsummer Night's Dream -- The Shakespeare classic features magical fairies, amorous foibles, an actor turned into an ass. This play not only entertains, but is also classically literate. Play dates are April 26, 27, 28 and May 3, 4, 5, 2013.
All plays are performed at the Little Theater at Strongsville High School at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Ticket prices are $12 adult and $10 for student/senior for straight plays; musicals are $14/ adult and $12 for students and seniors.
SCT also offers season ticket packages at $34 for adult and $28 for students and seniors, for all three plays.
The theater is also seeking ads for its programs, as well as patrons. Patrons are recognized in the programs.
