There's no need to leave town to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. 

Strongsville has any number of places that will cater to the green-beer-and-corned-beef crowd.

Here are our picks for a Happy St. Patrick's Day:

• Slim & Chubby's, 12492 Prospect Rd., opens at 8 a.m. for breakfast on the big day and will offer corned beef and Reuben sandwiches all day, as well as corned beef dinners. There will be beer specials all day and a DJ at 9 p.m.

• Mulligan's Bar 'n Grille, 20880 Royalton Rd. With a name like Mulligan's, you know this is the place to be.

• The Brew Kettle, 8377 Pearl Rd., has a special menu all day, with an Irish fiddle band playing 4:30-7:30 p.m. and bagpipers starting around 8 p.m. The bar opens at 10:30 a.m.; food service starts 11 a.m.

• McCarthy's Ale House, 13339 Pearl Rd., promises the best corned beef in town, with entertainment throughout the day.
