Two 911 hang-up calls took police to a Whitney Road apartment about 10 p.m. Feb. 25 after dispatchers could hear yelling and screaming in the background.

A report said officers learned a 14-year-old had called 911 twice during a dispute with her father, who wanted her to put away the dishes.

Officers advised the teen on the proper use of 911 -- and that she should listen to her father.

In other news:

• A disturbance on Walking Stick Way at 3:45 a.m. woke some neighbors Feb. 27. Police found a 19-year-old woman had been hit in the nose by a 19-year-old man. She was taken to the hospital for a broken nose; the male was arrested for assault.

• A woman reported receiving harassing at work in Strongsville for several months. They contain information about where she lives in Brunswick. In addition, she said someone urinated on her car while it was parked at Kohl's. 

• A Strongsville High School student reported Feb. 25 that his wallet was stolen from the school the previous day.

• Several residents were warned about tossing snow from their driveways into the street after the storm Feb. 25. On Donegal Lane, service department employees reported one incident and spoke to a resident, who was not happy, but agreed to remove the snow from the street, a report said.

• Two men wearing dark clothing and ski masks pulled down over their faces were spotted on Deer Path Drive and Hunting Meadows Drive About 11:45 p.m. Feb. 26. Police could not locate the men.

• Concerned passersby asked police to check on an older man walking on Pearl Road about 9 a.m. Feb. 27, saying he was unsteady and had his back to traffic. Police caught up with the man, who said he was head to McDonald's and couldn't walk on the sidewalks because they were covered with snow. He declined a ride and agreed to walk in parking lots rather than the street, where possible.

• A Donegal Lane resident took her dog out about 10 p.m. Feb. 27 and noticed a man standing in the middle of her front yard. A report said he was wearing a flannel shirt and just standing there.
