Plans for Cedar Creek Estates on City Council's agenda
Plans for a development of luxury homes off Prospect Road are moving ahead.
City Council is expected Monday to introduce legislation accepting plans for the subdivision, which is to be built just west of Breckenridge Lane.
The plans show 12 large lots of 3/4 to 1.5 acres. The developer, Ed Lechler, has said the subdivision will "fill a void" in Strongsville with its private, wooded lots and upscale houses, including some estate homes.

Plans have already gone through the Strongsville Planning Commission. The plat has been approved by City Engineer Ken Mikula.
Lechler said earlier this year that some of the lots have already been sold. Owners will bring their own builders to the site to design one-of-a-kind homes.

Lechler, who owns Rock Bottom Landscaping on Prospect Road, said this is his first venture as a home developer.
He told Strongsville Patch in February he is focusing on an upscale development with large lots "because it's what's missing.
"This side of town is quieter and more private than other parts of Strongsville," he said. "It will fit in with the area."
