The Strongsville VFW Post 3345 held a ceremony dedicating a new bench at the Veterans Memorial to the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard. The Aug. 4 event included speakers such as Sen. Tom Patton and dignitaries from the Coast Guard.
The VFW post chose last Saturday to coincide with the 222nd anniversary of the Coast Guard, said Jr. Vice Commander Tim Zvoncheck.
