Work Progressing at Plaza, But Not on Discount Drug Mart Yet
No target opening date set for retailer
Construction is continuing at the Royalville Plaza, although renovations to the storefront that will house Discount Drug Mart have not yet begun.
Strongsville Economic Development Manager Brent Painter said crews are now renovating a store for Salon Destino
Once the salon relocates to the plaza, the outbuilding will be razed, Painter said.
"Then they're going to start with the (Discount Drug Mart) expansion," he said.
Painter said he met this week with project representatives, who said fixing up a vacant spot in the plaza will take about a month.
The retailer plans to take over the site of the former Vigliucci's Bi-Rite at the corner of Prospect and Royalton roads for a 27,960-square-foot Discount Drug Mart.
The company will renovate and expand the former grocery store, adding 12,000 square feet to the front of the building, including a drive-through pharmacy.
Rodmaker's Shop has already moved to another spot in the plaza to make was for the Discount Drug Mart.
