Camp Cheerful's Fall Festival is Oct. 19

Enjoy dinner and a silent auction at 21st annual fundraiser

The 21st Annual Camp Cheerful Fall Festival Dinner and Silent Auction will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Achievement Centers for Children’s Camp Cheerful, 15000 Cheerful Lane in Strongsville. 

Tiffani Tucker, Channel 19’s weekend anchor and member of the Achievement Centers’ Board of Directors, will be the enthusiastic Master of Ceremonies. A father of a child that has enjoyed Camp Cheerful for several years will share their family’s story.

The casual, fun evening will include a spectacular dinner buffet prepared and served by Chef Chris Olszewski and students from the Polaris Career Center Culinary Academy, as well as dancing to the AKA Band.  Popular silent auction items will include many unique experience packages and items such as autographed sports memorabilia, sporting event tickets, spa and golf packages, restaurant certificates and more.

Camp Cheerful’s Fall Festival, organized by volunteers, aims to raise at least $60,000 to support the many programs at Camp Cheerful. 

Tickets for the event are $40 per person and include dinner, refreshments and dancing. Reservations may be made by calling Barb at Camp Cheerful at 440-238-6200 ext. 222.

Built in 1947 on 52 wooded acres in the Cleveland Metroparks Mill Stream Run Reservation, Camp Cheerful was Ohio’s first barrier-free camp specifically designed for children with physical disabilities.
