Harvest Festival is Sept. 28-29 in Strongsville

Historical Society event includes crafts, animals, Cow Pie Lottery, model trains, pig roast and chicken dinner

The Strongsville Historical Society will host its annual Harvest Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29 at the Historic Village, 13305 Pearl Rd.

This year’s event will include a quilt raffle, the popular Cow Pie Lottery, a classic car display, farmers market, hands-on crafts for kids (1-4 p.m.), music, entertainment, a food tent, art show and sale, model railroad display and exhibits of historic hand crafts for sale.

The eight historic buildings on the site will be open.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children or $15 for a family. Kids under 2 are admitted free. Free parking is available.

On Saturday, Sept. 28 there will be a pig roast in the village at 2 p.m., available for an additional fee.

On Sunday, there will be an old-fashioned chicken dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Strongsville United Methodist Church at the corner of Royalton and Webster roads.
