Strongsville Rotary to Have Duck Race, Kids Fest

The Rotary Club of Strongsville will have its first-ever duck race on June 1 as part of a Kids Fest celebration at the Cleveland Metroparks Chalet.

The event will run 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include pony rides, inflatables, food, touch-a-truck and other activities.

Ducks will launch at 2 p.m. at the Strongsville Wildlife Area. The racers will float down the river, with a winner named at the Chalet.

You can adopt a duck for $10 or a flock of three for $20.

The top 10 finishers will win prizes, including $2,000 for first, $1,500 for second and $1,000 for third.

Proceeds will benefit Cleveland Metroparks Wintergreen Cabin renovation and other Rotary projects.
