Thousands Turn Out for Day at the Chalet

Music, crafts and fun draw crowds to annual Arts in Strongsville event

Families flocked to Day at the Chalet, the annual celebration of the arts, Sunday in the Cleveland Metroparks.

Linda Plain of Arts in Strongsville, which organizes the event, said she expected a record-breaking crowd.

"We usually get 2,500 to 3,000 people, and with the weather today, I expect even more," Plain said. "After Breakfast on the Bridge finishes, even more people will be coming down here."

The event, held at the Cleveland Metroparks Chalet, features crafts for kids, music, other entertainment, vendor booths and food.

Plain said she tries to introduce new features and entertainment every year.

"I've already got ideas for next year," she said.
